Subject: Watch the area of ANCIENT harappan dam of BHARASAR which is the area of the origin of the tributary of the river Zadko from the hills of Khatrod LANKI area near hills of BHARASAR
Original Haraappan dam was 500 meter south of these places. actual overflow of the water from that dam was collected by a small reservoir near the old Bharasar (Harrappam time - 2000BC). It was Bhara SAR - means Sarovar suggesting a lake was there and later Maharao shri Bharmalji re settled the Village so was called as new name BHARASAR.
Over flowed dam water from the reservoir was utilised for irrigation in the lower area by means of ground water channels cut in the stones of the grounds. and when required the necessary water was acquired from an original dam above level big dam (Actual Harrappan dam) marked site by the line drawn across the two hills in other mail
